Peter Waldo, the probable leader of the pious Waldensians, was a rich merchant of Lyons, France. He was saved through the death of a friend at a feast.
He then had the Scriptures translated by two erudite
scholars into his own tongue & thereafter gave up all his wealth &
followed his Lord.
Everywhere he went he preached the claims of Christ, using
the words, “Look to Jesus! Listen to Jesus! Learn of Jesus!”
These are the prerequisites of discipleship.
Mat 16:24 (CEV): Then Jesus said to his disciples: “If any
of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take
up your cross and follow me.”

“If we are followers of Christ, we are His disciples and
should have the primary devotion in our lives to see as He does, think as He
thinks, and understand with His heart.” -
Rick Joyner.
