There is an old story about a lady who went to a photographer to have her picture taken. She was apprehensive about the picture, wanting her best side facing the camera & everything just right.
She said to the photographer, “Now, do me justice!”
The photographer took a look at her face & said, “Ma’am,
pardon me for saying this, but you don’t need justice, you need mercy!”
If any of us got what we deserved, we would be condemned to
Hell.

Ps 103:10 (TLV): “He has not treated us according to our
sins, or repaid us according to our iniquities.”
“The more affected we are with our misery, the fitter for
Christ's mercy.” - Thomas Manto.
