One of Spurgeon's quaint sayings was: "If there were an ant at the door of your granary begging for help, it wouldn't ruin you to give him a grain of your wheat. You are but a tiny insect at the door of God's all-sufficiency."
If a great king should issue an order that your needs should
be supplied as long as you might live, you would cease to worry, for here is
one who has authority & resources in plenty. How much more should the
promises of the King of kings stop our worrying!
His promises are so many bonds that may be cashed in the day
of the be¬liever's need. Our only concern needs to be that our rights to the
promises may be cleared up, for it is sad when one stands with the King's
promises in hand & fears to face the Cashier with them.

Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose
walk is blameless.”
