Napoleon's soldiers often used to sleep on the march. They were moving onward, yet asleep & indifferent to all around them.
Thousands are like them in spiritual matters.
They are
'passing onward, quickly passing' in the journey of life, yet indifferent to
their need of eternal life in Christ & to the claims of God upon their
lives.
Ep 5:14 (WEB): Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and
arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
