On the grave of a man whose life had been an ornament to his country & a benefit to his fellow men was this epitaph:
"My wealth consists not in the abundance of my
possessions, but in the fewness of my wants."
This man evidently had been mindful of the words of our
Lord, that "a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things
which he possesseth" (Luke 12:15).
“Possessions only
provide temporary happiness.” - Rick
Warren.
“The rich man is not one who is in possession of much, but
one who gives much.” - John Chrysostom.
