A story that carries its own application to Christian faithfulness has been told of a question & answer that passed between Martin Niemoeller & a chaplain who visited him in his detention for his faith:
"Why are you here?" asked the
chaplain.
"Why are you not here?" asked Dr.
Niemoeller.
