FOLLOWING THE LORD

A gentleman followed by a rough-looking dog got into a car in Edinburgh. The dog followed the car in the face of many obstacles.

Soon after another dog came up, bent on a quarrel; afterward, another dog more determined; then a third & a fourth. He took no notice, but continued to follow his master - only following & looking up.

What a lesson he taught us! His one object was to follow his master & this he did faithfully.

Lord Jesus said: “If anyone wants to become my follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23 NET)

“Many times men criticize us when we actually are following the Lord. Outside praise or criticism is inconsequential; but the testimony of our quickened conscience is momentous.” - Watchman Nee.
