LOVING THE INVISIBLE

A missionary's son, nearly five years of age, had been born & brought up in India and had seen no near relatives except his parents.

One day he said to his mother, “I love my grandpa.”

“How can that be, my son?” replied his mother, “You have never seen him & how can you love him?”

“But,” said the child, “doesn't he send us letters and doesn't he sends presents for my birthday & at Christmas and aren't we going on the big steamship soon to see him?”

“Although you have never seen Christ, you love him. You don’t see him now, but you believe in him. You are extremely happy with joy and praise that can hardly be expressed in words.” (1 Pet 1:8)
