THE MESSAGE

The center of the preacher's message is always Christ.

A preacher said that one Sunday he preached himself, and all the scholars came forward to praise him.

The next Sunday he preached Christ, and all the sinners came up to thank him.

To be worthy of the thanks of sinners, not the praise of men, should be the ambition of a true minister.

John 12:43 (ISV): "For they (pharisees) loved the praise of human beings more than the praise of God."

"And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him." - Jesus (John 8:29).
