SPIRITUAL SIGHT NEEDED

A little boy was born blind. At last an operation was performed; the light was let in slowly. Then one day his mother led him out of doors & uncovered his eyes, and for the first time he saw the sky & the earth.
"Mother," he cried, "why did you not tell me it was so beautiful?"

She burst into tears as she said, "I tried to tell you, dear, but you could not understand me."

So it is when we try to tell what is in Christ. Unless the spiritual sight is opened by the Holy Spirit, one cannot understand.

2 Cor 4:4 says: “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”

2 Cor 3:14 says: “But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.”
